UK Graduate Opportunities

Job description

Who are we?

Acturis is one of the UK’s fastest-growing technology businesses with over 800 colleagues working across 5 countries. We provide a market leading, cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform for the general insurance industry. Supporting 95,000 users in over 40 countries, we have established a leading position in every market we operate in and have grown revenues by more than 20% per annum for the past decade. Today, if a small business or individual purchases an insurance policy online, the chances are they are buying from an Acturis customer and the entire process has been enabled by the Acturis system. Despite our ongoing success, we are never content on standing still, re-investing £15m a year into the development of our technology and products.

Why work for us?

For 20 years, our recruitment model has been to hire high-potential graduates with minimal experience and give them the opportunities to learn, develop, and build a successful career in technology. Through mentoring and coaching intelligent graduates, and by taking a dedicated approach to continuous professional development, we have built a unique and dynamic working environment that is unlike many other businesses. We are a proud to advocate a culture of recognition where good work is not only rewarded, but is broadcast across all levels of the company. Moreover, career progression is based on merit and a colleague’s contribution to Acturis, rather than their time with the business. Most of our leadership team joined us at graduate-level and many have progressed rapidly into the senior positions they find themselves in today.

We recruit into four distinct positions: Technical Business Analyst, Software Developer, Customer Support Analyst, and IT Systems Analyst. Whichever role you join, you can expect exciting challenges and real responsibility very early on in your career. You will follow a clearly defined path that recognises personal development and your contribution to the company. Additionally, you will regularly receive constructive performance feedback and encouragement from your team leader, so that you know how to improve. Furthermore, by joining Acturis, you will be working in a collaborative environment that celebrates diversity and promotes inclusion, and you will also be working in a friendly team of highly talented and like-minded colleagues.
